Dow shooting down as house republicans vote against the bailout package. As 133 house republicans voted nah for the package the dow shot down as much as 777 points. Good job jerks! Everyone, let's not forget in November who effed us over (besides Bush and co.)
Bill Maher talks to Chris Rock about the dabate.
Media thought McCain won. McCain thought he won. People thought otherwise. 80% thought Obama won. Why? It's because the media tries to seem non-bias. They "accomplish" this by promoting the repub v. dem side on everything. As anyone should be able to conclude this setup yields at least a tie of opinion on every issue every time. This is a false construction of reality. As a result subscribers don't know what in actuality what is going on. The media's disconnection to reality is really exemplified by their reaction.

Paul Newman dies at 83. If you haven't seen him in action go rent "Cool Hand Luke" you won't be disappointed. When I was a kid I thought he was only a salad dressing producer. Paul Newman is awesome. Over fifty films, a race car star, and a successful philanthropist we will miss you.
Yum!
The Academy of Sciences is open today. It's across from the De Young Museum and that part of town in packed! I want to check it out but it is a mess over there. When I go I will bring my camera and do a little review.
I just remembered
What was woth McCain mispronouncing words? It's WASHington not WERshing-ton. Naive not NI-iv-e-teA. Jackass!

Obama killed it. Came out strong and made McLame look childish in the end. McCain came out weak, repeating the same old tired lines that he's been using this entire campagn. The "3mil bear DNA study","Ike's two letters on D-Day", "winning in Iraq", and "Obama will raise your taxes" etcetera. He was snide, angery, and couldn't look Obama in the eyes. Obama crushed him on the Iraq war by counting off the bad decisions McCain made leading up to today by going along with the Bush Admin.
Killed it. The repubs will rave over and over that McCain won, but, they were going to do that anyway.
Obama is killing him...
So McCain is going to rear his head and come into the air space, I mean go to the debate at Ole Miss.
So big debate tonight! It's at 9:30 ET so 6:30 our time. Get my take right here afterward.

For a minute I thought that Sarah Palin was the wicked witch of the North-West... But it turns out she's just dumber than a sack of rocks!
McCain flies back to Washington to swoop credit for himself. Yeah we believe that after a week of work it took one morning and one man, John McCain, to fix everything. What a jackass. It is clear what this jerk is trying to pull. Watch him bring this up at the debates.
John McCain a war hero? FFor real? What's with the cover up?

Update: Wait what? McCain trying to cancel debates.
Bill Maher discusses our economic situation
Oh it was all the democrats and minorities fault....
Come on! I don't know if this bailout is going to work. They think that just if a little credit is freed up things are just going to go back to the way things were. People have lost their jobs and the rest of us don't want to get in more debt. We're just going to magically fix the economy by throwing 700 billion $s at it?

700 Billion Dollar Bailout You have got to be kidding me. F- Paulson. Banks should never have been allowed to grow "too big to fail". Why should these guys get out of taxes when things are good for them and get bailed out when thing go wrong? That not fair. Watch the CEOs sail away on golden parachutes.
Register to Vote The deadline is around the end of the month so go to the post office or online and register to vote. At your current address. Alot of people (you know who you are) used the "I'm registered to vote at my parents house" excuse not to vote. This is pathetic. You live here. Vote here. Don't be a douche bag and throw away your voice by skirting you responsibility to vote.
What Do You Think? I have been reluctant to allow comments to my posts because of my experience with other political blogs (ex. TMP, Politico, YouTube etcetera) where right-wing trolls dominate the conversations with lies, distractions and attacks (how do these people have the time to do this, I couldn't tell you). But think this blog could use some reader feedback and maybe more content inputs than just little old me.
So what I'm saying is, that I want to hear from you. Email It's a Blog at its.a.blog.dog@gmail.com or you could just click here.
Email me; responses to posts, links to articles that you find interesting, articles you have written yourself, or photos (you have probably noticed my snapshots section hasn't been updated in a minute). I will read, respond to and even post your content.

John McCain and company continues to spread lies that Obama would raise taxes. Only people making over 250,000$ a year will get tax increases.
Another whopper is that McCain cleaned up Washington; is going to change everything for the good and is a giant bad ass. Check out this onion story.
Now for serious, McCain recently also said that he wouldn't invite Spanish PM Zapatero to the White House. That's weird. Did he think Spain was in Latin America or something? Check out the story for yourself.
Sarah Palin got one of her private email account hacked. This is a different one from the one that state investigators have already sought access to, in the "Trooper Wooten Firing Scandal". Unfortunately we can't conclude she was using this account to conduct state business from the emails that were posted online (A seems the hacker didn't really know what they were doing, could be some kid in his mom's basement). But because this account was hacked, Palin went ahead and deleted the account. So if there was any dirt in there it's gone, and Palin my be facing destruction of evidence charges.
Dirt dirt dirty

Wow. I am scared... |
| September 4th, 2008 |
Yesterday we were attacked over and over by these douche bags. Rudy Guiliani bitched about Hollywood celebrities just before Fred Thompson spoke. Mitt Romney bitched about eastern elites (he is the super rich ex-governer of Massachusetts). Then Cindy McCain walks out wearing a 300,000$ outfit. WTF? All these people did was hate on elites and those in power. McCain voted 90% with Bush and Palin has used nothing but Rove tactics her whole career. Neither CNN or NBC will give you this analysis on air.

Palin once again touted how great a reformer she is in her convention address and made a whole lot of snide attacks on Obama.
Here are some articles to check out

What's up ya'll? It has been a minute huh?
So here is a little recap of everything that is going on. The DNC went really well. The first day Hillary Clinton spoke and she was pretty good. She told her supporters to vote for Obama. Clinton supporters who remain against Obama were coined "post-rational" by MSNBC host Rachel Maddow. The next day the Dems were on the attack starting with Bill Clinton and finishing with Obama's VP selection Joe Biden. The last day Obama capped the convention off with a barnburner of a speech on the 45th anniversary of Martin Luther King jr's I have a dream speech in front of a 85,000+ cheering audience.
In a last ditch effort to win over the "post-rational" John McCain chose Sarah Palin as his VP running mate. Sarah Palin is a anti-choice, pro-gun, creationist, five child haven', first-term governor of Alaska. In her acceptance speech she claimed to be against the "bridge to nowhere", unfortunately she is on the record supporting "TBTN" when Alaskan clepto-senator Ted Stevens snuck it into law. Too bad all the cable news sources parrot over and over again that she is a reformer. psh! Oh yeah and she wants to take polar bears off the endangered species list. (what a bitch!)
This week the Republicans are supposed to have their convention. Unfortunately for them hurricane Gustav hit New Orleans today. Both because of Bush's half assed response to hurricane Katrina and because Obama's speech is just such a tough act to follow the Repubs are cutting back their convention. Now they want to turn the convention into a call-o-thon to raise money for disaster relief. Are you fooled?
It's so nice outside
